:'(Hurricane Katrina is now headed toward the gulf coast. It has become a category 5 hurricane...the highest it can go! My friend, Cindy, lives in Alabama and they have to watch. But the real problem is her daughter, Keri, who is in LA with her husband and child. His mother died myseterisouly last night and they are trying to get to his family which is 80 miles away from where the hurricane is scheduled to make landfall. Cindy hasn't been able to reach them as of yet and is very worried.
Neither her nor I feel that 80 miles is far enough to be going. But he has to be with his family right now and I guess they will decide from there what to do about evacuation. I hope everything works out for them. It's a scary situation.
