Week two back at GSI is almost over. I'm actually surprised at how much I remember after beign gone since February. Most of it has come back to me. The only difference is getting used to being with different partners and how varied their rules are compared to what I was used to before. They are much more stringent and concerned with what everyone is doing. I'm sure I'll get adjusted to it fairly quick.
One another note, the kids are growing so fast. Sean is going to be 24, Chris turns 18 next month, Amber just celebrated her 14th birthday and Sammie turned 12 in August! Wow.....how fast the time has gone.
My Sister, Jennifer and her family have had a rough time of it the past couple of weeks. She has one child and has been trying like crazy for a second. She had a series of tests, medications and treatments..most recently having 2 viable eggs implanted, however, they did not take and she is pretty down about it with good reason. Top that off with the fact the family dog, Chance, had to be put down due to illness. All this during their Anniversary week. I thank God all the time that he blessed her with my adorable nephew, but I wish she could carry on her dream of having a large family. But he blesses us how he chooses and we have to accept the gifts he does give us. Hopefully, she will experience as much joy in life with her beautfiul boy as she possibly can.
My brother Mike is going through some hard times of his own, but he's strong and smart and will make it through. He is currently working with a friend who has a project due for school making a movie. She has comissioned Mike to be her script supervisor which is great experience for a person writing a screenplay. That's his dream. I know he'll enjoy it immensely.
My "Baby" sister Annmarie is doing a little better each day. I worry about her all the time and pray that the things that her hold her back will eventually find a way to leave her so she can have a happy, healthy and productive life. She deserves it as much as anyone else and I hope that with time, she can achieve success.
On that note, I am off to get some things done and find things the kids need for tomorrow. TGIF is all I have to say!!!
